The Restoration Bench & Maker Services

A true heirloom is not defined by its perfection, but by the honest wear it accumulates over a lifetime of use. Here at Broom Corners, we believe that a well-crafted sweeper is meant to be passed down through the generations. When the tarred twine finally frays after years of tending the hearth, or an ancestral ash handle grows dry and weary, we do not discard the tool. Instead, we bring it to the Restoration Bench.

Within this ledger, our master broom squires offer their skilled hands to maintain, repair, and personalize your functional art. If your trusty besom has swept its final threshold and lost its tension, you can commission an artisan to re-plait the broomcorn, breathing new life onto a beloved stang. Should you desire to mark a piece for a special occasion—perhaps a handfasting ceremony or a housewarming—our woodworkers offer custom wood-burning and engraving services, etching family crests, meaningful dates, or protective runes directly into the handle.

We also offer specialized conditioning, leather wrapping, and hardware restoration for aged sweepers that simply need a restorative touch. It is the highest honor of our guild to ensure that the tools of your hearth continue to serve you faithfully, season after season.
