The Hearth Broom Collection

At the very center of the home, where the fire crackles and the family gathers against the chill of the evening, lies the sacred domain of the hearth. Here within the warming ledgers of Broom Corners, we celebrate the absolute heart of domestic life with the Hearth Broom Collection. These sweepers are intimately scaled and purposefully bound to tend the stones, clear the ash, and stand as a steadfast guardian of the household fire.

To craft a true hearth broom is to understand the demanding nature of stone, brick, and cinder. Our master broom squires build these intimate sweepers using shorter, beautifully balanced stangs of fire-cured hickory, dense oak, or polished hawthorn, allowing for precise sweeps around the mantle and the fireplace grate. To these resilient handles, our artisans meticulously bind thick, tightly plaited skirts of premium raw broomcorn or stiff heather. Finished with heavy waxed hemp, traditional tarred twine, or gleaming oxidized copper wire, and always complete with a supple leather loop, these brooms are designed to hang proudly right beside the roaring flames.

The hearth broom is an indispensable daily companion for any home that keeps a fire. For the keeper of the cottage or the historic farmhouse, it is a magnificent piece of functional art—effortlessly clearing stray wood chips, fine dust, and gray ash from the hearthstone while adding undeniable rustic warmth to the parlor. For the spiritual practitioner, the hearth is recognized as the oldest altar. A dedicated hearth broom is the quintessential tool for honoring domestic deities, tending the sacred flame, and performing the daily ritual of clearing the central energy of the home.
